the work

[draft] My work sits at the intersection of place, people, and the resources we rely on. I look for ways to bridge the natural world and the built environment because the tension in our time is strong. In truth, though, they're not separate, and we can't actually pull them apart. The chasm that we feel is cultural, not biological or chemical. We change culture through stories. Stories are the most valuable commodity. I'm here to work toward telling positive stories about living within nature. Over the years, I've learned a variety of new mediums as my work has migrated and matured from film and photography to designing and building, and now, with a new position at Sustainable Northwest, I'm finding myself at a crossroads of the two. I'm guided by curiosity, whole systems thinking, and a conviction that real change is possible.
